Jan 8 Payson to Gila Bend

This is not a very good picture , but it is a mega dairy farm. We have passed a few of these. They each cover about 20 acres or more. The cows are housed in open structures which only have a roof. Each structure is probably 30 to 40 feet wide and at least 500 feet long. They are spaced about 75 feet apart. There would be thousands of mike cows in a set up like this.
Surrounding each of these barns are huge areas, many sq miles of alfalfa . All grown with water from the Colorado river.
We visited the Painted Rock Petroglyph Site. This is a National Park with in The BLM near Gila Bend. These rocks were a carved by the natives of the area 2 to 3 thousand years ago. It is interesting to try to figure out what the messages were that they were creating.
They were not all created at the same time, but were added to as time went on.

Our camping spot for the night. Beautiful spot
