Jan 13 Los Algodonas

We went to Mexico about 30 miles from our campsite to the town of Los Algodonas. We parked the Gypsy Wagon on the California side and walked across. The 5 minute walk is worth it as you have to take out Mexican insurance to drive in Mexico.  We wandered around town a bit and then enjoyed a Mexican lunch.
David and Cynthia brought this tray , it is actually the plastic cover of a garbage can, and had this lady paint the scene on it. She is incredibly talented. She painted it in just under 30 minutes. It is a Mexican scene but they had here insert a picture of there dog in it as a souvenir as their dog is getting old and this will most likely be his last trip.
David and Cyinthia are from Kingston. We enjoyed the best margaritas ever, Rose had a burrito platter with salad and beans and I had a quesedia platter for about 5.00 each. Great day!
This is the restaurant where we had lunch. Fun place with live music.
