Howling at the Moon
We went to "the howling at the moon " last evening. During the full moon each month people gather in the foothills to listen to live music from 3pm to 9pm
It is quite funny or entertaining. About a 1000 people arrived with their lawn chairs, drinks and snacks. Even a few BBQ's. Everyone sat around listening to the band or dancing. When the moon rose over the mountain around 8 o'clock every one stood and howled at it. Once it had completely risen above the horizon every one sat down and continued listening to the music or dancing.
Fun way to spend an evening with friends.

That's a fun way to celebrate the new moon ... or take advantage of a creative activity to celebrate the evening! Did you record the howling? I watched the 'full moon' for a little while last night and just checked on it again this evening - no howling involved! - as it rises about the apartment buildings/condos overlooking Miramar Beach in Florida. Quite beautiful.
