Monday Feb 13 Albany Tornado Pictures and Chehaw state park

Tornado Pictures

While we were in northern Georgia near the end of January there was a tornado that went through this are killing 15 people. Out pictures cannot start to tell the devestatio0n and destruction  that occurred.  These pictures were taken in Albany

These are trees that have been cut up but look at the size of the roots and hundreds and hundreds of these were turned up in a swath about 1/2 mile wide

A typical building that was destrioyed

This is the parking lot of a large trucking company because there were about 100 trailers all twisted up and destroyed.

This is the same church as in the next picture

We hiked about 3 miles through this park. There are wonderful hiking trails in all of the State Parks

This picture is to show the size of the base of roots on this tree that was blown over
Just in case we forget what we looked like when we look back over these pictures one day
