Jan 8 Travelling across New Mexico

New Mexico is so different than anything that we have seen in our travels. Most of the time we were between 5000 and 6000 feet above sea level, Temperature around +1 to +3 C . It is rugged , mountainous and desert like. The earth is a reddish colour and very little grows on it. Not even good pasture land.

We traveled 3000 klm to be in more snow

Very sparse population , some times miles and miles apart
In the valleys between the ridges  is where most of the villages are located

New Mexico requires another visit when it is warmer
