We travelled to Tuscon and on to the Kitt Peak National Observatory.

This is an interesting place to visit as they have numerous telescopes to study the sun and the stars. The largest being 41/2 feet in diameter. Unfortunately the tours were closed due to the gov't shut
down.

The climb is 4000 feet over 10 miles as you circle around the mountain to get to the top. The top is at 7600 feet |
