The water is controlled by the Elephant Butte Dam, which will be opened some time in April. The river will dry up again in November. |

This family from Taos in northern New Mexico was camped beside us.. We really enjoyed there friendship and all the local information they shared with us. |

This outfit from Nebraska was also camped near us. The camper alone was at least 40 feet long. The funny part was that he was not a skilled driver and had a heak of a time trying to back it up. |
