Wednesday Jan 18 Galax PA

Very pleasant drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shanandoah Valley. You drive through the valley with the ridge of mountains on both sides. The valley is  what I would call rolling, as there are no level fields, just one hill of pasture rolling into the next one. This is beef country and as you get further south lots of nice horse farms. Lots of Angus Beef raised here. At 3:30 we decided we had had enough driving and the closest town on the GPS was Galax PA so that was our stopping place for the night.
