Crazy Horse Hiking Trail Nov 20

The Crazy Horse walking trail showcases the ecological diversity of the Carp Hills, a Provincially Significant Wetland Complex consisting of rocky, Canadian Shield uplands and shallow wetlands that support hundreds of plants and wildlife species, The trail is on 200 acres of public land adjacent to private property.

We hiked the orange trail that is approximately 6.5 kilometers

The trail is some what rugged , but not much elevation.

Predominately oak and maple trees with a few spruce

All of the really swampy areas had these wooden bridges to keep you out of the mud

The beaver pond with a bit of ice starting to form

They must have been expecting Big Joe Mufferaw when they built this bench.
Beautiful quiet spot to sit and enjoy the scenery by the beaver pond.

The wood peckers will soon have this tree completely destroyed

I thought these might have been holly berries but the leaves look more like a
winterberry. About the only colour to be seen at this time of year.
